Give them the tasks they are most capable of

It sounds obvious, but matching the tasks your business needs to get done to the employees who are best able to complete them is a sure-fire way to see everyone’s productivity spar. This is so wasteful, so identify the strengths and weaknesses of each employee and develop a system of assigning work based on strengths.

Employees who feel supported in their work tend to be happier in their work too, and happy employees are almost always productive employees. This is why, as a manager, you should not rule with an iron rod, but with lots of help and understanding, apart from being the right thing to do, it just makes good business sense.

Reward your employees

Of course, if you want employees to really care about upping their productivity game, one of the best ways to do that is undoubtedly to offer them rewards and bonuses as an incentive, If they know they’ll get a bonus when they complete that new project early or that they will get an extra day off if they complete that audit on time, then they will work all out to get it done.
